Review - VITUS (2006)

Vitus - The story of a highly-gifted boy directed by Fredi M. Murer and the writing credits done by Peter Luisi,Lukas B. Suter and Fredi M. Murer.

The film tells the story of a highly-gifted boy whose parents have demanding and ambitious plans for him - they want him to become a pianist. However, one day the boy, Vitus, is no longer willing to comply with his parents' plans and ambitions because he wants to follow his own star.

The boy-genius who wants nothing, than being a normal boy, is a well played and charmful story. The Boy is played by a real-life-boy-genius (Fabrizio Borsani) who plays the piano amazingly. Grandpa(Bruno Ganz)is the same actor as "Hitler" in "Der Untergang" and shows herewith his incredible talent for various roles. The relationship between the grandson and grandpa was portrayed superbly. The intelligence of the boy was understandable and acceptable unlike our desi movies. The climax, really wonderful and noteworthy.

The Movie has no gunfights, carcrashes or nudescenes. Its a simple, heartwarming story, which takes you away from the fast and hectic daily life into a almost 2-hour-story, which is nothing but good and charming.

A silent movie, but nevertheless a real good one and a must-watch treat.
