To start own business, 2 IIM-A graduates decline plum job offers

A must read for the young graduates who always wanted their brain to drain,to my knowledge govt should take serious steps to stop people going abroad for jobs,unless the person have reasonable reasons,like poverty else none should be allowed to foreign country for jobs.Moreover Govt should be keen in eradicating unemployment as well as the individuals in growing the nation stronger.

Ahmedabad, Dec. 27 (PTI): Two Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad students have declined job offers with salary package of over Rs 1 crore per annum from one of the leading investment banks of the world and decided to start their own business.

Deutsche Bank has for the first time offered associate level post to six IIM-A students with the salary package. Till now, investment banks used to offer jobs to IIM-A freshers at the level of analyst, IIM-A officials said.

However, the offer was turned down by two of the six -- Devashish Chakrobarty and Vinita Singh -- who would start their own enterprise.

"This offer is at par with the offers made to graduates of top level business schools like Harvard. This is an acceptance of IIM-A as top B school of the world", IIM-A officials said.

Chakrobarty told PTI that he and Singh have declined the job offer. "We want to start our own business and that is the reason we declined the offer," he added.

Chakrobarty, Singh and their two other batchmates have decided to start production and retail outlets of women's innerwares, he further said.

"We plan to open our retail outlets in the four metros. However, we have not decided on the place where our production base will be," Chakrobarty added.

IIM-A officials said the two students' declining the job offers also proved that IIM-A graduates would not just like to be top executives but also become entrepreneurs.
